Any group is dependent on building a degree of trust in order to operate well. When a leader is open about her mental process, her feelings and her wants and needs, she builds trust. When she demonstrates commitment to agreements, she reinforces that trust. People will not give themselves fully to a group when they don’t trust the leaders. Wise leaders will openly ask about, and address, the level of trust in their work teams.
